This is what I woke up to this morning. I took all these pictures from my porch. I love the way the snow sits on the trees. It's slowly dropping off, because the weather is starting to warm up. But we have another snow day, so the kids are home. I was gonna do some housecleaning, but decided I'd rather not fight today. So they're relaxing, and I'm knitting. More posts forthcoming!

Move Along
I haven't knit much lately, but I did re-build my computer! It actually runs smoothly now. Hopefully I'll be back today with something more. I did get a package from someone that I will be showing off this afternoon!

More WIP pictures!
I got my new camera! Yay! So here are nice pics of my WIP's.
First, a completed coaster. It's a modified heart dishcloth design. I finished it rather quickly one night. It's made with peaches and cream kitchen cotton. I still have to weave in the ends and wash it in hot water to shrink it a little bit.
Next, two coasters in progress. The one on the left is made with Patons classic wool, the one on the right is made with the same cotton as the first. I figure I should be able to knit 3 at a time on these needles. That will get it moving! These are the coasters I'm sending out with Thank You packages later this month. So I'm making a bunch of them, the more I can do at a time, the better.
Now, on to my sock! This is being made with Lion Magic Stripes in Bright Spring. Right now, it fits my big toe. I'm considering ripping it out and starting with more stitches cast on due to my very wide feet. We'll see how it works out. If it doesn't fit me, I could always give the socks to someone else. The pattern is Knitty's "Universal Toe Up Sock" and I used the "Magic cast-on" also on Knitty's site. I'm too lazy to pull the links. I may edit this to add them later.
And finally, the sock I'm working on in Knit Picks Palette in the Pool color. It will someday be a toddler or baby sock. We'll see what it decides to do with itself as I knit it.
And coming up next... a picture of me! Taken today by my 8yo son. But you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Hehe.

WIP Update!
First of all, I finished the second sock for my daughter! I now wish I'd made the socks longer (instead of anklets) as they slide down off her heel as they are. Oh well. Live and learn!
Now I'm going to work on a pair of socks for MYSELF with some Lion Brand Magic Stripes that I was gifted by my Aunt. I just need to figure out what sock pattern to use! I'll be using the spring color of the yarn, and want to do a short-row sock (as I don't like heel flaps even on a good day, esp. when using patterning yarn). Any suggestions will be welcome!
I do have a sock in Knit Picks Pallette (Pool) color that I'm working on with my 000 needles. It's funny to go from a size 000 to a size 50 (for the fuzzgly afghan). Toothpicks to broomsticks! I have the button for Calorimetry, but need to get a new needle to sew it on with - my tapestry needle is too big for the button. Ugh.
One of these days everything will fall together.
OH! I ordered a set of Addi Natura bamboo circular needles this weekend! They're size 3's so I can work on a pair of boot socks (from Knit Picks site) for my hubby. Those will be in either wool-ease or KP's Swish yarn. Depends on when I'm ready to make them - if I have time/money to order the swish, I'll use that, as that's a superwash and what KP recommends for the pattern.
I'll post more tonight!
